About me

I have been blessed with five kids, girls win, 3-2! I have lived in the district for over two decades with my lovely wife where we raised our family. My father immigrated to New York City from Brazil in the early 1960s where he opened and operated a small business in the Bronx; I was made in Jersey! And moved to Sacramento region for school in the late 90s. I chose this region due to our wonderful community, environment and accessibility to the sierras, and the coast. It is the best region to raise a family!

My Family

My wife is a civil engineer and works on local projects contracted with Caltrans. I am educated in Environmental Science, and Business Administration and work for a Fortune 500 company running the business relationships, contracts, and compliance. Our two older daughters are in college, in the engineering field, and we have a daughter in high school. My two sons are younger, Moses who is in second grade and our little one JJ, will be at school age in few years. Our value in education is very impeded in our family; my wife’s mom was a teacher; and three of my siblings are educators.

I’m running For the Sacramento County Board of Education because I have a vision for my kids and for all children and families to feel safe, heard, and seen in our schools. As the only candidate in this race with children graduated and enrolled, and one yet to be at school age, I understand the parents’ perspective very well. I will ensure to elevate the parental voice. I am not a political lobbyist at the state capitol like other candidates on the ballot; I am a father of five, that will put kids first.
